Hi! 

I'm Rachel, a fourth year doctoral student in the counseling psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Miami. I am currently completing internship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. In September, I will start a clinical and research post-doc at Children's Hospital Colorado, working in pediatric primary care with underserved families.

During my journey through internship and the dissertation process, life has reiterated that not only is the person political, but the professional is personal. Personal values, beliefs, and aspirations become more tightly intertwined with my professional perspective on theories, ethics, and endeavors. Although I can find this path exhausting and overwhelming at times, I am privileged to travel it.
